An arbitrator is appointed in accordance with the agreement of the parties as stated in the arbitration agreement.
Under the Cadre Rules a Cadre Case Officer appoints an arbitrator from a panel of Cadre Certified arbitrators within a period of 5 working days of receiving a request for arbitration and payment of fees from a party.
While making such appointment the Cadre Case officer ensures compliance with the requirements of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and its amendments.
